The Mount Ayr golf teams hit the links for the first time this year and fought a decent northeasterly wind.
The Raiderettes found their first win of the year at home against Nodaway Valley and Martensdale-St. Mary’s Monday night. The Raiderettes shot a 217, beating out Nodaway Valley who had 270.
Kaitlyn Dolecheck took top honors in the win, shooting a 50 overall, while Kylee Smith finished with a 53.
Abbi Haley finished third with a 56, while Eslie Schafer finished with a 58. Hanna Ackley shot a 59 and Melania Haley shot a 76.
The Raiders also grabbed a win in the season opener, combining for a team score of 191 to beat out Martensdale-St. Mary’s with a 231. Nodaway Valley finished with a 305.
Leading Mount Ayr was Dalton Elwood, shootin g a 40, followed by Cayden Lambert who scored 47.
Zach Doster shot a 49, Isaac Grose placed sixth individually and shot a 55, Brady Bickel also scored 55 and Peyton Stull rounded out the Raiders with 63.
