Raiders showing speed early in season as they win in Afton

The Raiders opened their season with a meet win at the Eagle Relays in Afton last week.
Chase Henry saw himself take first in the shot put and discus for the best finishes of the Raider field events.
On the track, the Raiders saw Nathan Hauge take first in the 800 meter with a time of 2:14.22 and Isaac Timmerman complete the 1600 meter run in 4:49.35 for a first place finish.
Dawson Frost took first in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.48.
The Raider 4×200 of Payton Weehler, Seth Shellman, Connor Eaton and Hunter Arends finished first with a time of 1:35.42 while the 4×800 team of John Shields, Adler Shay, Trae Ehlen and Nathan Hauge finished first with a time of 8:57.79.
Cardinal Relays
At the Cardinal Relays, the Raiders finished second to St. Albert.
The Raiders saw Chase Smith win the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:59.82 for 10 team points.
The Raider 4×400 team of Payton Weehler, Connor Eaton, Dawson Frost and Hunter Arends finished with a time of 3:36.60 to finish first.
Chase Smith, Trae Ehlen, Adler Shay and Nathan Hauge made up the 4×800 relay team which finished first with a time of 8:53.00.
In the boys distance medley relay, Payton Weehler, Connor Eaton, Hunter Arends and Isaac Timmerman finished first with a time of 3:45.68.
In the field events, Dawson Frost finished first in the high jump, clearing 5-8 while Chase Henery threw a 45-03 in the shot put to take first. The throw ended his PR streak at 10.
