The Raiderettes were able to put down the Essex Trojans after three games last Thursday night.
The girls won 25-21, 25-17 and 25-18 to improve to 2-1 on the year.
Channler Henle was in top form once again with five kills, five digs, 12-of-17 serves and five aces.
Sam Stewart stayed busy at the net with 31 attack attempts and 12 kills, while also recording nine digs.
Jaycee Knight was perfect at the line, serving 15-of-15 over the net with one ace.
The Raiderettes were not without fault in the game, however, with many times leading by 10 points and allowing the Trojans to battle back to keep the games close.
The Raiderettes also missed 13 serves on the night, which helped the Trojans in keeping the games close.
“Looking like a repeat of us getting up 10 or 12 and letting them back in the game to make it close,” said coach Tori Braby. “Good thing is tonight, we were able to hold them off. Plenty of times we looked great, making things happen, then turn around and miss a serve. Sam Stewart stepped up and played a great game for us. Tegan Streit came off the bench and really showed she deserved to be on the floor, coming in and getting four kills for us.”
The Raiderettes traveled to Nodaway Valley on Tuesday, though the game had not been played before press time.
Tonight (Thursday, September 12), the Raiderettes travel to Osceola for a triangular with Pleasantville and Clarke.
