MARGARET JEANETTE TROXELL HULL

Margaret Jeanette Troxell Hull, daughter of Earl and Marie (Eckerman) Troxell, was born in Ellston, IA on June 27, 1929 and departed this life on November 22, 2019 at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center. She was welcomed home by an older brother, Richard Lyle Troxell. Margaret grew up on a farm near Ellston and later moved to the Tingley area. Her schooling was at Ellston, Bridge Academy Country School and then Tingley Public School.
Margaret worked her whole life as a caregiver at Sunny Slope Nursing Home, Methodist Hospital in Des Moines and the Mount Ayr Health Care Center. She also cared for many family and close friends. In later years, she worked at the Tingley Café, opening early to make the coffee and get breakfast ready.
Margaret enjoyed being outside and working in the gladiola and vegetable garden. She also loved animals and she had many pets. In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles and she loved crocheting, as she made countless afghans for family and friends.
Margaret married William (Bill) Bryan and to this union three children were born: Katherine (Kathy) Jane Jackson, Robert (Bob) James (Linda) Bryan and Ruth Marie (Mark) Schlapia. Later she married Bernard Hull and to this union one son was born: Eugene Earl (Jennifer) Hull.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Bernard; beloved brother, Lyle; sister-in-law, Carol Troxell, and daughter, Kathy Jackson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children;  grandchildren Janis Harris, Nicole Jackson, Renell (Wayne) Roybal, Amy Roybal, Chad (Brittany) Schlapia, Jason (Jessica) Schlapia, Bobbi (Justin) Leavitt, Adriane Hull and Nathan Hull; 15 great grandchildren; three nephews Rick (Geneva) Troxell, Ron Troxell, Jim (Beth) Troxell; several cousins and many friends. Memorials are to the Tingley Christian Church. Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr is in charge of the arrangements.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Tingley Cemetery in Tingley, IA.
Officiating was Rev. Al Rusk.
Special song was “Shall We Gather at the River”.
Burial was at the Tingley Cemetery in Tingley, IA.
Reception followed the services at the Tingley Meal Site in Tingley, IA.
