ELTON RAY JACKLEY, SR

Elton Ray Jackley Sr, son of Elton Raymond and Dorothy (Wasson) Jackley, was born May 20, 1949 in Creston, IA. Better known as Butch by family and friends, Butch was a man of many traits. He could fix your car or house and anything else in between. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Butch did not know a stranger; everyone was a friend.
Butch was united in marriage to Teri Castelhano on August 19, 1972 in Phoenix, AZ. They made their home in Arizona until moving back to Mount Ayr several years ago. Butch was a loving father, husband and grandfather.
Butch passed away on January 30, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Clovie Schofield.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Teri Jackley of Mount Ayr; daughter, Brenda (Earl) Keate of Creston, IA; sons, Elton “Junior” (Monica) Jackley Jr of Phoenix, AZ and Michael Hall of Red Oak, IA; six grandchildren, Bianca (Tyler Levelle) Jackley, Elton “Tre” Jackley III, Haley Jackley, Nicole Keate, Brittany Keate, Marshall Keate and; two great grandchildren, Grey Karley Levelle and Kingsley Ray Spaulding; six sisters, Donella (Marv Innis) Thurman of Des Moines, IA, Bonnie Alden of Mount Ayr, IA, Beverly Rutherford of Mount Ayr, IA, Jolene (Steve Fletcher) Jones of Kellerton, IA, Barbara Gepner of Leon, IA and Nancy Jim VanDenHout) Reynolds of Mount Ayr, IA; nieces, nephews, other relative and a host of friends.
Services were at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, IA.
Officiating was Pastor Bill Armstrong.
Special music was “Crazy”- Patsy Cline and  “The Old Rugged Cross” – Alan Jackson.
Casketbearers were Elton Ray Jackley, Jr, Elton Ray Jackley, III, Michael Hall, Marshall Keate, Tyler Levelle and Brett McNutt.
Honorary casketbearer was Joe Hansen.
Burial was at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr, IA.
Memorial fund will be to the family to be decided later.

    I want to wish my condolences because I knew butch was a very nice man God be with him RIP.
