MICHAEL DWAYNE FLOYD

Michael Dwayne Floyd, son of Dean Floyd and Ruth Arlyne (Heintz) Floyd was born December 24, 1966 in Phoenix, AZ and passed from this life Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, IA at 53 years of age.
Mike received his education in Mount Ayr High School graduating in 1985 and came to the Osceola area in 2000.
Mike spent his career working construction and transitioned to Lakeside Casino in Osceola when it opened. This is also where he met his future wife, Casi. He had most recently been working at East Side Auto in Osceola.
He was united in marriage to Casi Dawn Johnson on February 24, 2003 and they are parents four children, Erica, Shelly, Brittany and Taven.
He enjoyed playing pool, bowling and golf. He also was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Iowa Hawkeyes but if it involved sports, Mike was a fan.
Those relatives who preceded Michael in death were his parents, Dean Floyd and Ruth Heintz along with his step-father, Marion Heintz, and his previous mother-in-law, Mary Evans.
Mike leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Casi Floyd of Osceola, IA; daughters, Erica (Ben) McMahon of Tacoma, WA, Shelly Floyd of Dubuque, IA, Brittany Floyd of Dubuque, IA; son, Taven Floyd of Osceola, IA; grandson, Emmett McMahon of Tacoma, WA, sisters, Deana Wood of Laramie, WY, Terry Floyd of Phoenix, AZ, Shelley (Rod) Smith of New London, IA, Madeline (Rick) Adams of Osceola, IA, Gail (Larry) Cordell of Lenox, IA, Tracy (Mark) Evans of Creston, IA and Kathy Love of IA. Mike is also survived by his daughters mother, Gladys Evans of Dubuque, IA; mother and father-in-law, Gary (Debra) Henry of Osceola, IA; sister-in-law, Jodi Johnson of Osceola, IA; brother-in-law, Tyler (Shawna) Henry of Osceola, IA as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
A memorial gathering will be held at Osceola Eagles Lodge Aerie #3495, Tuesday July 7, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to his family for a fitting tribute to be decided on at a later date.
