A new Raiderette era has begun under co-head coaches Mariah Cruse and Kristen Graham.
“We are trying to build more team chemistry this year,” said coach Graham. “We are trying to get the girls working better together.”
“It’s definitely a rebuilding year,” said coach Cruse. “We are trying to get back to the basics.”
The first test of the year was against volleyball powerhouse Bedford.
Bedford won all three sets in a best of five, 25-15; 25-14 and 25-22.
“I felt like we came out flat,” said coach Cruse. “We had first game jitters.”
The Raiderettes were led by Addy Reynolds with four kills on 13 attempts.
Channler Henle and Alexa Anderson followed Reynolds with three kills each.
As a team, the Raiderettes saw nine blocks and 26 digs in the loss to the Bulldogs.
The girls were 40-of-49 serving, led by Addy Reynolds who was seven-of-seven and Channler Henle who was eight-of-nine.
