Mount Ayr runners compete in Greenfield, place fourth

The Mount Ayr Raider cross country team traveled to Greenfield last week.
The Raiders saw Will Newton across the line first for them with a time of 20:53.18 for a 27th overall placing.
Jarrett Webb finished 76th overall with a time of 24:26.08, followed by Ashtyn Benesh who finished 103rd with a time of 29:48.47.
The Raiderettes finished fourth as a team with an overage time of 24:57.83.
Karlie Larsen was the first across the line for the Mount Ayr Raiderettes, placing 16th, good enough for a medal and a time of 23:29.46.
MaKayla Jones finished 21st, just missing out on a medal, with a time of 24:19.88.
Natalie Schaefer and MaKenna Jones were side-by-side finishing 34th and 35th, respectively, with Schaefer finishing in a time of 25:17.40 and Jones with a time of 25:17.64.
Lauren Triggs finished in a time of 26:24.75 for a 47th place, while Taylor Clymer finished 71st with a time of 29:48.27.
Madison Shields finished 80th for the Raiderettes with a time of 32:19.13 and Andrea Sickels rounded out the Raiderettes with a time of 35:21.93 and placing 85th.
The Raiderettes competed in the Pride of Iowa meet in Bedford on Tuesday, and will host the Ron Landphair Invitational at the Mount Ayr Golf and Country Club on October 15 at 4:30 p.m.
