Mount Ayr’s annual Ron Scott Duals were canceled on Friday, but Saturday was a day full of wrestling as five teams traveled to Mount Ayr for the Duals.
Central Decatur, Harlan, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, Riverside, Oakland and Shenandoah joined the Raiders on the mats in a five round tournament.
Riverside went undefeated to take top honors, while Harlan and Mount Ayr rounded out the top three.
Harlan was 4-1 on the day, with a loss to Riverside and Mount Ayr suffered losses to Harlan and Riverside.
Mount Ayr’s Drew Ehlen, Bryce Shaha, Payton Fleharty and Jaydon Knight were selected to the All-Tournament team.
Against Central Decatur, Mount Ayr scored 40-17 with one pin coming from Jaydon Knight over Odin Rivera.
Decision wins came from Preston Fleharty, Bryce Shaha and Trae Ehlen.
Harlan handed Mount Ayr its first loss of the day by a score of 48-36.
Mount Ayr had pins from Bryce Shaha, Payton Fleharty, Trae Ehlen and Keaton White.
Harlan had pins against Jarrett Webb, Preston Fleharty and Matt Schwery.
Forfeits were the deciding factor.
Mount Ayr defeated Martensdale-St. Mary’s 48-10 and saw pins from Jarrett Webb, Preston Fleharty, Bryce Shaha, Trae Ehlen and Jaydon Knight.
The Blue Devils saw wins from Conor Cassady and Cael Cassady.
Riverside was able to secure a win over the Raiders by a score of 43-31.
Pins for Mount Ayr in the win included Preston Fleharty, Bryce Shaha and Payton Fleharty.
Decision wins came from Keaton White and Drew Ehlen.
Riverside had pins against Braydon Swietlik and Joshua West and decision wins over Trae Ehlen and Jarrett Webb.
Mount Ayr defeated Shenandoah 59-12 to close out the day with pins coming from Bryce Shaha, Payton Fleharty and Braydon Swietlik.
The rest were forfeits.
The Raiders hosted a triangular on Tuesdsay with Southwest Valley and Van Meter but was not available for press time and will appear in next week’s Record-News.
