The Raiders took a short road trip to Afton to face the East Union Eagles last Friday night after a short break from the hardwood after winter weather forced postponements earlier in the week.
The Raiders outpaced the Eagles 63-46 after a strong defensive showing throughout the contest, which helped the offense throughout three strong quarters.
The Raiders were only outscored in the fourth, 14-11.
Jaixen Frost led the team in scoring with 20 total, while Rhett Larson scored 10.
As a team, the Raiders shot 40 percent from the field and 12.5 from three point territory.
Defensively, the Raiders produced 19 turnovers and 23 steals, which was led by Jaixen Frost and Payton Weehle with five apiece.

The Raiders hosted the Central Decatur Cardinals Monday night and after a trying first half, the Raiders were able to come together for a win.
Jaixen Frost led the Raider scorers with 28 points, followed by Payton Weehler with 14 and Riley Maudlin with 13.
The first half went in favor of the Cardinals, 35-26, but a strong showing in the second half saw the Raiders outscore the Cardinals 47-24.
“This was the battle we wanted, we lost to Martensdale, letting it go at the very end, we ran out of gas and tonight we didn’t,” said coach Bret Ruggles. “We executed down the stretch and Riley Maudlin hit some shots, my goodness that kid played well. Rhett Larson played well tonight, Jaixen was Jaixen, Weehler was Weehler and Trujillo was Trujillo. When you have those three do what they do and you get a Maudlin or a Rhett step-up, we are very dangerous.”
Maudlin had a pair of three pointers late in the contest to put Mount Ayr up by 12.
“I told them our goal was to get to the fourth tied. Then it’s about heart,” said coach Ruggles. “It was big for us.”
The Raiders faced Nodaway Valley Tuesday night. Those results will appear in next weeks Record-News.
