The Raiderettes played their final in-season away game on Tuesday night in a conference matchup between Mt. Ayr and Southeast Warren.
The Warhawks are currently ranked third in 1A behind North Linn and Martensdale St. Marys, so the Raiderettes and all Mt. Ayr fans anticipated a tough game.
Zoey Larsen was in the circle for the Raiderettes where she pitched six innings where she allowed 10 hits, six runs and struck out two.
The game stayed very close throughout the whole duration of the matchup, with the Raiderettes scoring one run in the top of the first inning thanks to a home run from Sophomore Breya Nickle, but the Warhawks were also able to put a run on the board in the bottom of the first, leaving the game tied at one to close out the first inning.
Southeast Warren put up another run in the bottom of the second inning and two more in the bottom of the fourth after a scoreless third inning, giving them the lead 4-1 after four.
The Raiderettes scored two runs in the top of the fifth where they started their lineup with Mt. Ayr senior, Kalee Wise, who jumped on the first pitch delivered by Alivia Ruble to hit a solo home run over right field.
Just two batters later, sophomore Aubree Clark earned herself her own solo home run over left field to bring the score after the top of the fifth inning to a one point difference of 4-3.
Southeast Warren did not let up their lead, as they were able to score three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, making the score 7-3 which would later be the final score of the matchup after neither team scored in the sixth or seventh innings.
