The 2024 general election resulted in no surprises in Ringgold County.
With no opposition appearing on the ballot, supervisors Colby Holmes and Steve Knapp, auditor Amanda Waske, and sheriff Rob Haley all cruised to new terms in office.
As expected, the Republican team of Donald Trump and J.D. Vance easily outdistanced their chief rivals, Democrats Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, 2,014 to 638.
Perhaps the only surprise of the election was the 1,260 votes cast in early voting, equaling nearly 40 percent of all registered voters in the county.
All votes will remain unofficial until they are canvassed at the next meeting of the board of supervisors on Tuesday, November 12.
More information about local results can be found on the Ringgold County Elections webpage.
