MOUNT AYR, Iowa — The Mount Ayr boys and girls golf teams each picked up victories at home last week over Pride of Iowa Conference foe Southwest Valley. The competition was the first of two late week meets. The Raiders won by more than 30 strokes, 165 to 199. The Raiderettes margin of victory was a little closer at 201 to 216.
Mount Ayr claimed the medalist for both meets. Jaylee Shaffer was the medalist on the girls side with a score of 37. Jaxson Greene was the medalist on the boys side with a score of 37. Mount Ayr’s Avery Wolfe was the runner-up medalist on the boy’s side with a score of 42. Mackenzie Fast led the Timberwolves girls scores with a 49 while Cameron Becker was Southwest Valley’s boys top score at 48.
