Henry P. Wardrip

Henry P. Wardrip was born in Harrison County, September 27, 1890, where he resided until February 12, 1907, when he moved with his parents to Ringgold County, Iowa.

He was stricken with influenza on December 27, 1918 to which he succombed at nine o’clock Saturday morning January 4, 1919, aged 28 years, three months and nine days. His mother, Mrs. Rebecca Wardrip, preceded him in death.  He leaves to mourn his death, his father, stepmother, six brothers and two sisters: Claude, who is now in service in France, May Graham of Blythesdale, MO.; Silas Wardrip of Boyd, Montana; Mrs. Mary Marsh of Caledonia, Charley William, Clarence and Thomas, his beloved wife and son and many friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held at the home of Chris Hightshoe, conducted by Rev. A.N. Morris of Ringgold and the burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Lamoni.
