Paulina Jane Payne Dennis Banner

Paulina Jane Payne, daughter of Squire and Susan Payne, was born in Harrison County, Mo., July 10, 1859. She passed away at her home in Kellerton March 13, 1919. aged 59 years, three months and three days.  She grew to womanhood in Harrison County and was united in marriage to Welford Dennis, December 28, 1879.  To this union three children were born; Mrs. Bertha Tripp of Eagleville, MO.; John Franklin and William Richard, who preceded the father t the great beyond.  The father died  August 20, 1884. On December 31, 1885, she was united in marriage to John Banner of Ringgold County. Six children were born to this union; James Harmon of Eagleville, MO.; Mrs. Mary Burchett of Grant City, MO.; Squire Edward of Lamoni;  John of Benton; and Marguerite Pauline of Kellerton and Sayde Ellen deceased. She was a member of the Mount Zion Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Nichols of Beaconsfield, assisted by Rev. Ellis.
