SARAH BRYANT

MRS. SARAH BRYANT, A FORMER RESIDENT OF RINGGOLD COUNTY, DIED SUDDENLY FROM HEART FAILURE AT HER HOME IN CHICAGO TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, AGED 95 YEARS AND 12 DAYS. MRS. BRYANT WAS BORN IN ENGLAND NOVEMBER 18, 1825.  SHE CAME WITH HER HUSBAND AND NEPHEW TO RINGGOLD COUNTY IN THE EARLY SEVENTIES AND SETTLED ON A FARM IN MIDDLE FORK TOWNSHIP, LATER MOVING TO LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, TO WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE KELLEY FARM. HERE MR. BRYANT DIED AND MRS. BRYANT WENT TO DES MOINES, WHERE SHE MADE HER HOME WITH A NEPHEW UNTIL HIS DEATH ABOUT SEVEN YEARS AGO, SINCE WHICH TIME SHE HAS RESIDED WITH HER NEPHEWS AND NIECES IN CHICAGO. MRS. BRYANT WAS IN FULL POSSESSION OF HER MENTAL AND PHYSICAL POWERS UP UNTIL THE TIME OF HER DEATH.

THE BODY WAS BROUGHT TO MOUNT AYR SATURDAY MORNING AND FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD FROM THE T. S. RHOADES UNDERTAKING PARLORS, CONDUCTED BY REV. FRANK BEAN, AND THE INTERMENT WAS IN ROSE HILL CEMETERY.
