THOMAS JEFFERSON SILVERS

THOMAS JEFFERSON SILVERS WAS BORN AUGUST 1, 1852, IN HIGH POINT TOWNSHIP, IOWA, AND PASSED AWAY AT HIS HOME IN HUMESTON SUNDAY, MARCH 9, 1924.  HE WAS MARRIED TO MISS MINNIE A. DAVIS APRIL 24, 1874, AT MOUNT AYR, WHERE HE ALSO UNITED WITH THE CHURCH OF CHRIST. MR. SILVERS WAS WELL KNOWN THROUGHOUT DECATUR, RINGGOLD, AND WAYNE COUNTIES.  MRS. SILVERS PASSED AWAY IN 1910 AND HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS THREE DAUGHTERS, MARY OF OMAHA, LEONE OF DES MOINES; FATHER; ALSO THREE SISTERS AND TWO BROTHER, MRS. JOHN SMITH, GARDEN GROVE; MRS. MARAGRET BARRET, KELLERTON; MRS. H. A. THARP, BAKERSFIELD, CA;     AND E. A. SLIVERS OF LEROY, IOWA. THE FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD AT THE CHRISTIAN CHRUCH MARCH 11, 1924, WITH MASONIC RITUALISTIC CEREMONY AND INTERMENT IN THE HUMESTON CEMETERY.
