Vaidna Marie Morgan

Vaidna Marie Morgan, daughter of Bird and Louie Morgan, was born in Ringgold County, IA., December 18, 1900 and died at the home of her parents, May 2, 1924, after a lingering illness which began last September.  Four weeks ago she returned from the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, where she had gone for treatment and rapidly grew worse in spite of all that love and skill and cafeful nursing could do. Death came as a release from the terrible pain and suffering which had filled the days and weeks and which she borne with such infinite patience and fortitude.  Vaidne spent her entire life in the High Point neighborhood, attending the home school and later the high school at Kellerton.  She united with the Methodist Church at High Point when about thirteen years old and was ever faithful at all its services, trying to live always the religion which she professed.  She was one of the finest girls of the community, kind and thoughtful of others.  She was a loving sister and a devoted daughter.  She leaves to miss her, her parents, three brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Verda Nichols, of Mt. Ayr, Forest, Wayne, Winnie and Dean at home; nephews and nieces and a host of friends, for to know Vaidna Morgan, was to love her.  Funeral services were held at the High Point Church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Alta M. Nichols, and interment was made in Oliver Cemetery.
