Cora E. Lesan Mosier

Mrs. Cora E. Mosier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George M. Lesan, was born in Kellerton, IA, September 2, 1880, and died in the general hospital at Kansas City, Sunday afternoon, August 17, 1924, at fifteen minutes of five, aged 43 years, 11 months and 15 days.  She was united in marriage with Ike Mosier, Jr., August 23, 1900. From this union nine children, seven boys and two girls were born, two boys having preceded her to the better land.  Mrs. Mosier was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in early girlhood.  About two years ago she united with the Mount Ayr Baptist Church, which membership she retained to the end.  She was very earnest in her devotions to home, church and God.  Her last sickness was of brief duration, having begun Saturday, August 9.  The following Tuesday she was taken to the hospital and on Wednesday underwent an operation.  She was released from her suffering by death Sunday afternoon, August 17.  We unite with the many friends and acquaintances in sympathy for the family and more distant relatives.  Among her last words were “Meet me in Heaven.”  She leaves behind the husband, five sons, two daughters, two brothers and one sister besides more distant relatives and a host of friends.  The funeral services were held at the Oakland Church Tuesday afternoon, August 19, conducted by Rev. M.W. Ballenger and the body laid to rest in the Saltzman Cemetery.
