Edith Elda Kopp Keller

Edith Elda Kopp, the eldest daughter of George C. and Maggie C. Kopp, was born in Ringgold County, Iowa, October 11, 1886, and died in the Methodist Hospital in St. Joseph, MO, November 24, at 8:55 a. m. at the age of 38 years.  She was united in marriage October 15, 1905, to Adam Keller, of Grant Center Community.  Here they continued to make their home.  To this union were born four children, Bertha Lois, Lola Vernita, Ralph Eugene, Rolley Dean, all of whom are living.  She united in early life with the church at Grant Center and was one of the most efficient workers until about four years ago when compelled to relinquish her tasks because of illness but her heart and interest continued with the church until the end. She has been a patient sufferer always thinking of others rather than herself. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.  She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and four children, two brothers and two sisters, uncles and aunts, a number of nephews and nieces with other relatives and a host of friends.  Funeral services were conducted at the Grant Center Church on Wednesday, afternoon, November 26 by the pastor, Rev. Cunningham, assisted by Rev. C. M. Edmondson, of Perry, who was her pastor for seven years of her most effective work in the church.  Burial was in Clearfield Cemetery.
