EDD D. LONG (FEB. 8, 1869-NOV. 28, 1929)

EDD LONG, SON OF J.C. AND MARY LONG, WAS BORN IN DECATUR COUNTY, IOWA, FEBRUARY 28, 1869 AND PASSED AWAY AT HIS HOME NEAR BEACONSFIELD, IOWA, NOVEMBER 28TH, 1929. HE GREW TO MANHOOD NEAR BEACONSFIELD. IN THE YEAR OF 1898 HE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO MAE SCOTHORN. TO THIS UNION TWO CHILDREN WERE BORN, EDNA HOOTON OF BUFFALO, MO., AND HOMER OF BEACONSFIELD, IOWA. WHILE THE CHILDREN WERE YET SMALL THEIR MOTHER PASSED AWAY AND IN THE YEAR 1915 HE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO ORA OSBORN. TO THIS UNION FOUR CHILDREN WERE BORN, RETA, DELMA, EDWIN AND NOLAN.

THE LAST YEAR HIS HEALTH HAS BEEN FAILING. HE WAS A PATIENT SUFFERER. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE M.E. CHURCH AND ALSO BELONGED TO THE MASONIC AND ODD FELLOWS LODGES.

BESIDES HIS FAMILY HE LEAVES A FATHER, J.C. LONG OF BEACONSFIELD, IOWA, ONE BROTHER, W.E. OF FALL RIVER, KS., AND A SISTER , NORA JOHNSTON OF TINGLEY, IOWA, AND A GRANDDAUGHTER, IMOGENE, AND OTHER RELATIVES AND A HOST OF FRIENDS TO MOURN HIS LOSS.
