Rose Ann Berry Holloway

Rose Ann, daughter of Uriah B. and Elizabeth Anderson Berry, was born April 10, 1869, in Kane, IL. and passed away April 2, 1943, near Mount Ayr, Iowa, at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 22 days. At an early age she became a member of the Baptist Church of which she has been an active and loyal member.

On March 13, 1887, she was united in marriage to Lewis D. Holloway at Lone Tree, MO. To this union were born two children, Elsie Rose and Troy D.

While living on a farm in Lotts Creek Township, her husband passed away on October 4, 1931. Since that time she has made her home in Mount Ayr.

For the past few years she has been in failing health, however, her death came quietly and unexpectedly while asleep in the home of her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Alex Moffatt of Mount Ayr, and her son Troy D. Holloway of Chicago, IL.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mayme Davis of Centralia, WA., and Mrs. Mattie Holloway of Buffalo, MO.; three brothers, James T. of Hot Springs, Idaho, William E. and Arthur C. of Onalaska, WA.
