WILLIS DIX

WILLIS DIX WAS BORN IN OTTAWA, KS., APRIL 7, 1878 AND DIED IN A CRESTON HOSPITAL MAY 10, 1943, AT THE AGE  OF 65 YEARS, ONE MONTH AND THREE DAYS. FOR THE PAST 33 YEARS HE HAS MADE HIS HOME WITH MR. AND MRS. R. E. HUNT AND FAMILY. MR. DIX HAD NO KNOWN IMMEDIATE RELATIVES.

BILL, AS HE WAS KNOWN, HAD MANY FRIENDS, WAS ESPECIALLY FOND OF CHILDREN AND WAS WELL LIKED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM. HE WAS READY AND WILLING AT ALL TIMES TO BE A HELP IN TROUBLE AND WORK, HAD A JOLLY WORD AND INTEREST FOR ALL. HE WAS ANXIOUS TO BE NO BURDEN OR BOTHER TO THOSE AROUND HIM.

HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY MR. AND MRS. R. E. HUNT AND DAUGHTERS WITH THEIR FAMILIES: MR. AND MRS. E. M. CROOK AND FAMILY OF KIDDER, MO., MR. AND MRS. J. L. PARMERLEE AND FAMILY OF NORTHBORO, MR. AND MRS. C. C. PORTER AND FAMILY OF GRANDVIEW, MO., AND MR. AND MRS. H.W. INMAN OF FARRAGUT.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD WEDNESDAY AT THE RHOADES FUNERAL HOME, CONDUCTED BY REV. FRANK MOORE, PASTOR OF THE METHODIST CHURCH.
