DAVID EGLY

DAVID EGLY, SON OF JOSEPH AND MARY ANN EGLY, WAS BORN DECEMBER 17, 1873 IN RINGGOLD COUNTY, ON THE SAME FARM WHERE HE LIVED CONTINUOUSLY UNTIL HE WAS FOUND DEAD WEDNESDAY MORNING, JANUARY 12, BY A NEIGHBOR, W. L. SURFACE.

HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS, SEVEN BROTHERS AND ONE SISTER. HE IS SURVIVED BY A NUMBER OF NIECES AND NEPHEWS AND COUSINS.

MR. EGLY MADE HIS LAST TRIP TO MOUNT AYR ON THURSDAY PRECEDING HIS DEATH. HE HAD ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO MANAGE HIS FARM AND BUSINESS AND DO THE USUAL CHORES ABOUT THE FARM.

MR. EGLY WAS HELD IN HIGH ESTEEM BY HIS MANY RELATIVES, NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS AND WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ALL.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT 2:30 O’CLOCK FROM THE RHOADES FUNERAL HOME, CONDUCTED BY THE REV. FRANK MOORE, PASTOR OF THE METHODIST CHURCH. BURIAL WAS MADE IN THE OAKLAND CEMETERY.

PALLBEARERS WERE NOAH SALTZMAN, HARRY TAYLOR, CLARK THOMPKINS, SIM MOSIER, CHAS. CAMPBELL AND OSCAR CAMPBELL.
