DENNIS WEBB

Dennis Webb from Jefferson, TX passed away February 4, 2020. Dennis was born August 19,1941 in Mount Ayr, in Ringgold County, IA to Charlie Dee Webb and Jessie Mae (Marshall) Webb. Dennis was the youngest of seven; two sisters and four brothers, who with his parents proceeded him in his death.
Dennis attended school in Mount Ayr, IA until 1958 when he decided to join the Navy. He served four years and was Honorably Discharged in 1962. Upon his discharge he returned home for a short time then went to Colorado. After a short time there, he decided to try Texas. It was there he met his first wife, Berinda. They had one son, Carroll Dean Webb. Later their marriage failed.
At breakfast one morning in 1978 Dennis met Barbara Jean Watson, and he thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world. She would change his life, and for the next 35 years, they shared their love for each other. On the second of June 2013, he lost Barbara and his changed life again. Dennis said I have lost my best friend and companion; my heart has a hole now that will never mend. My fortune means nothing. They had retired in 1997 to their little piece of Paradise in Jefferson, TX. Most of their spare time was spent at the River Boat in Shreveport where they loved to play the slot machines side by side. Dennis had invested heavily in the stock market and they had amassed a sizable fortune.
When Barbara passed he gave most of their fortune to Battered Woman at unknown location and their 18 acres to the local church. The rest of his fortune and house went to his friend, Mark Ross. He remained alone until his death. On many days you could find Dennis at the grave site of his beloved Barbara where he would take his daily walk and a rose. Left to mourn was one son, Dean, and his adopted daughter, Debbie, all his nieces and nephews who were very special to him and all is friends he met along the way whom he cherished.
