VERLA LOUISE REPP

Verla Louise (Adams) Repp, daughter of Samuel and Lucille (Hellyer) Adams, was born November 9, 1934 in Iowa.
Verla graduated from Mount Ayr High School. Verla was united in marriage to Harold B. Repp on November 29, 1953 at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. They were married for 58 years with many adventures. Harold was in the military and they had the opportunity to live in several cities and foreign countries. Verla was a supportive wife and mother. Verla and the family moved to Mount Ayr in 1974 after Harold retired from the military. Verla was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Mount Ayr.
Verla passed away April 10, 2021 at the Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Repp; father, Samuel Adams, and mother, Lucille Adams.
Survivors include her children; David Repp, and wife, Debra, of Mountain Home, AR, Debra Hankins, and husband, Jim, of Ankeny, IA, and Diane Bennett, and husband, Mike, of Carroll, IA; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a great great grandchild due this year; brothers, Junior Adams of Mount Ayr, Keith Adams of Osceola and Don Adams of Mount Ayr; other relatives and friends.
A memorial fund has been established for the Mount Ayr American Legion Auxiliary.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, IA.
Officiating was Pastor Bill Armstrong.
Musicians were Nancy Sackett and John Allen.
Songs were “Amazing Grace” and “In The Garden”.
Casketbearers were David Repp, Jim Hankins, Mike Bennett, Andrew Petersen, Hunter Lee and Rex Fitzgerald.
Burial was at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr, IA.
