JIMMIE CARROLL BROSAM, JR

Jimmie Carroll Brosam, Jr. was born October 30, 1960, in San Diego, CA to Virginia Mae (Bowman) and Jimmie Carroll Brosam, Sr.
In May of 1981 Jimmie was united in marriage to Debbie Repp in Red Oak, IA.  Jimmie and Debbie later divorced. He worked for the Amana Colonies building furniture for many years and was featured in Midwest Living magazine. For the last 25 years Jimmie worked for the University of Iowa as a carpenter.
Jimmie loved to fish, went coon hunting in his younger years, dancing, listening to music, gardening, wood working, loved Hawkeye football and tailgating. He was a funny, kind and generous man, who always had a smile on his face.
Jimmie didn’t always get to spend as much time with family as he would have liked to, but every Mother’s Day he visited his mom to plant flowers for her to look at and enjoy.
He passed away July 21, 2021, at his home in Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his parents; his uncle, Merrill “Butch” Bowman.
Left to cherish Jimmie’s memory are his kiddos, Tiffany (husband, Andrew) Petersen, of Ames and Danielle (fiancé, Dustin) Brosam of Des Moines; four grandchildren; sister. Angi (husband, Dennis) Smith, of Mount Ayr; brother, Dale Brosam, of Mount Ayr; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, IA.
Officiating was Rev. Scott Marcum.
Special song was “Falling In and Out of Love”.
At rest in the Tingley Cemetery in Tingley, IA.
