Patricia Jeannette Padgitt, only child of George Claiborne and Goldie Jeannette (Foster) Padgitt, was born May 18, 1941, in Ringgold County, IA.
Patty grew up on her parent’s farm and graduated from high school. She furthered her education and devoted her life to the health care profession. She was a dedicated nurse in Omaha, NE, where she lived most of her adult life.
Patty returned to the Beaconsfield family farm where she grew up to take care of her parents. After her mother died, Patty lived out the remainder of her life on the farm home she grew up in.
Patty shared her life with Marthann Yarkosky. Patty enjoyed fishing, bird watching, her cats and reading books. She had an artist flair and loved to draw and wood working.
Patty became a resident of the Mount Ayr Health Care Center and she passed away there on May 23, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents and Marthann Yarkosky.
Survivors include friends of the Beaconsfield, IA and Omaha, NE communities.
A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8 at the Oliver Cemetery. Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr is in charge of the arrangements.
