The Raider golfers saw the links on back-to-back nights as they traveled to Leon and Afton.
Leon
In Leon, the Raiders took the top five spots with Dylan Graham sitting in first after shooting a 42.
Trevin Victor was runner-up with a 45, while Jaxson Greene and Tanner Streit both shot a 48 and Louden Main sat at 52.
Keye Willis fell down the order but still was only six strokes from Main with a 58.
The Raiders scored a 183 as a team, defeating Interstate-35 who shot a 221.
Central Decatur didn’t have enough numbers to post a team score.
The Raiderettes saw similar success to their Raider counterparts, as Mallory Weehler took top honors, shooting a 51, while Linsie Barnes was runner-up with a 53.
Alana Doolittle and Olivia Huntington both shot a 61 to tie for fourth, however, Cardinal Arianna Nopoulos shot a 59 to split the Raiderettes at third place.
Ayla Murphy placed eighth with a 78.
The Raiderettes won the team match by default as neither opponent could post a team score.
East Union
At the Lakeshore Country Club in Afton, the Raiders again took the top five spots.
Senior Raider Drew Ehlen broke into the 30’s shooting a 39 to take the medal, while Louden Main shot a 43 for runner-up.
Tanner Streit shot a 44, while Jaxson Greene was at 45 and Trevin Victor shot a 46.
Dylan Graham finished 10th overall with a 51.
The Raiders took the victory, shooting a 171, followed by Wayne who sat a 225 and Martensdale-St. Marys who placed third at 236.
East Union and Southeast Warren didn’t post team scores.
The Raiderettes hosted Martensdale-St. Marys, Wayne, East Union and Southeast Warren on Tuesday, April 18 where they took second as a team to the Martensdale-St. Marys Blue Devils by just five strokes.
The Blue Devils took first with a 228, while Mount Ayr finished second with 233.
Wayne took third with a 260.
The top three saw different golfers from different schools, as Blue Devils Kathryn Ballard took first, shooting a 49, while East Union’s Sara Collins placed second with a 50 and Mount Ayr’s Linsie Barnes placed third with a 53.
Mallory Weehler saw in fifth with a 55, while Olivia Huntinton shot a 59 for sixth.
Alana Doolittle placed 11th with a 65 and Ayla Murphy was 18th with a 77.
