INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Mount Ayr boys golf team won their fourth straight Pride of Iowa Conference team title after winning the 2026 meet last Tuesday at Indianola. The Raiders scored a team low 337 points, seven strokes ahead of runner-up Nodaway Valley. The Raiders had three players earn all-conference honors for being in the top-10 finishers.
Mount Ayr was led by runner-up medalist Jaxson Greene with a score of 80. Also capturing top-10 all-conference honors were Tytan Gourley 6th with a score of 84 and Avery Wolfe 7th with a score of 85.
The meet medalist was Slade White from Martensdale-St Marys with a score of 74. After Green, there was Adrian Schlapia from Lenox third with a score of 81 and Ty Rardin fourth with a score of 82.
Other Mount Ayr scores were 14th Tanner Streit 88, 15th Drew Graham 88, and 34th Carter Levine 96. Mount Ayr competed at a quadrangular meet at Lenox on Monday. Schools at the event were Bedford, Lenox, Mount Ayr, and Sidney. Mount Ayr will play in the first round of postseason golf on May 13 at home. Teams there are Diagonal, East Union, Lamoni, Moravia, Mormon Trail, Mount Ayr and Wayne.
